Clinical Research Assistant Clinical and Translational Science Institute - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (19007971) Pediatric PittNet, the University of Pittsburgh's CTSI pediatric practice-based research network, is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to implement and facilitate the enrollment procedures of approved clinical protocols in community pediatric practices. The CRA will coordinate several research protocols concurrently including identifying/screening potential eligible research subjects, enrolling and conducting follow-up visits. The CRA is responsible for collecting and reporting research data and will also help inform practice staff and the community about research. The CRA will work primarily in the research office in the CHP Primary Care Center in Oakland and visit other local pediatric practices in the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding area (Allegheny County) to screen and enroll children in various protocols as directed. This position may require travel between community practices as part of a regular work week. He/she will report to the Pediatric PittNet Administrator and take direction from the Pediatric PittNet Nurse Manager and Medical Director. He/she will attend periodic team meetings and trainings in Oakland. A Bachelor's level degree required; Two years of research experience preferred; Clinical research skills (subject recruitment, protocol adherence, data collection) highly regarded; proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) highly regarded. One year pediatric experience preferred. TB test and Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances and IRB research education within 30 days of hire. Current PA driver's license required. Variable hours- may include occasional weekend and evening hours. One year pediatric experience, preferred; two years working with human research participants, preferred; previous experience with Microsoft Office products, preferred.
