The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
Department of Legal Affairs (DLA), Administrative Assistant I Position Summary and Scope:
The Part Time, Temporary Administrative Assistant I for the DLA is responsible for providing critical administrative/clerical support, largely with ongoing contract management and processing tasks.
Reporting to the Legal Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous experience managing and reviewing executed contracts ranging from but not limited to, non-disclosures or business associates, masters, individual t&c, statements of work, leases, and affiliations. Administrative proficiency and critical thinking is key. This role will evolve with the team's landscape, but will always require confidentiality, organization, and superior attention to detail. Day to day work may involve any of the following:
Work through internal and external contract repository, processing, and status requests,
Utilize and manage contracts database, filing, organizing, updating contract and company profiles
Guide the completion of the SCCA contracts (from electronic filing to final signature and contract distribution)
Organize system for the retention and retrieval of executed contracts
Repetitive yet nuanced data entry and analysis
Formatting and finalizing of confidential documents
Daily active communication and collaboration with the Legal Manager, DLA , and SCCA staff
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year of relevant experience
Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe proficiency
Superior verbal and written communication
Absolute attention to detail and organization
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Logical, practical decision making and comfortable asking questions
Ability to quickly, accurately, and repetitively find and enter data/information
Maintains strictconfidentiality and discretion
Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally
Interest in and/or Understanding of contract administration
Legal and/or Healthcare background

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s. The purpose of this organization is to provide state-of the-art patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest, and according to the National Cancer Data Base, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients in general have better survival rates than patients treated at other cancer treatment centers.
