The Neurology Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
This position offers inpatient and ambulatory care of newborns and infants followed by the Intensive Care Neurology Service.
Provide close and frequent patient assessment, medical history, physical exams, planning and implementing plan of care across the continuum in collaboration with supervising physician for infants followed by the Intensive Care Neurology Service within the critical care units of Boston Children's Hospital, Brigham & Women's and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospitals.
Daily team rounding and consultation of neurologic care for neonates in the intensive care settings.
Providing continuity of care, assisting with the transition to home, and family support and education.
Practicing in consultation with supervising physician in a supportive and collegial team environment in the ambulatory clinic setting, 1 day per week.
Covering Beth Israel Deaconess', Brigham & Women's and Boston Children's Hospital's Critical Care Units while maintaining a strong collaboration with all members of the healthcare team.
40 hours, Monday - Friday
To qualify, you must have:
Certified Pediatric, Neonatal or Family NP licensed to practice as a NP in Massachusetts with 3 years acute pediatric RN experience required, 1-3 years NP experience preferred.
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills are required.
We will consider new graduate NPs with strong NICU and or neuroscience nursing experience.
Experienced PNP with neonatal intensive care experience and strong interest in neuro-critical care of neonates is desired.
