This is a grant funded position that will work 10 months per year during the project's duration. The nurse will treat elementary school-age children following NYU College of Dentistry health care practices and standards. This includes providing oral hygiene instruction, oral examination, fluoride varnish, and silver diamine fluoride with a dental assistant. All examination and care are recorded in electronic health record.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing. New York State RN license.
Required Experience: 3+ years experience as a registered nurse
Preferred Experience: Experience in ambulatory pediatrics.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels.
