Division Chief – Pediatric Dermatology The new Department of Dermatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska, together with the Children's Hospital & Medical Center, is seeking a high energy, results oriented individual to fill the position of Chief, Division of Pediatric Dermatology. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a newly established academic division. Our team's vision is to build an innovative, dynamic, and collegial Department of Dermatology with priorities for providing exceptional patient care, education of students and residents, and transformative research. The Chief will lead the division faculty with the responsibility for teaching, research and care to children and adolescents (inpatient and outpatient) as well as academic planning, development and resource management. He/she will also play a key leadership role in the planning and development of a pediatric dermatology fellowship.
The successful Pediatric Dermatology Chief candidate will be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree, who is board certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He/she will have a commitment to delivering excellent patient care within a complex, pediatric tertiary care medical center and demonstrate scholarship, research, clinical and service accomplishments that would merit the rank of Associate Professor or higher in the College of Medicine. He/she will have a record of successful experience in academic leadership and mentoring, outstanding clinical and teaching skills, a track record of successful and productive collaborative research efforts and the demonstrated ability to create and build programs. The Child Health Research Institute provides start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science, or translational research. Research interests are strongly desired and supported.
