The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) is seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatric physiatrist to join a dynamic academic work environment with opportunities for inpatient and outpatient practice in close collaboration with other pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. The position will provide appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and offer ample opportunity for training of medical students and residents.
The UAB Departments of Pediatrics and PM&R are consistently among the top NIH funded departments in their respective areas nationally. Children’s of Alabama, the primary practice location for pediatric services at UAB, is one of the ten busiest children’s hospitals in the country. Our division collaborates with other state agencies and community organizations to serve children with disabilities. Together with children and family members, the UAB Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine serves as an advocate for children with disabilities with the goal that each child will be able to achieve the highest level of independent functioning possible.
