Position Summary: Plans, directs and coordinates the development, implementation and operation of the MCWHLB inpatient pharmacy services (Carelines, Best Practice Teams, purchasing, medication safety, regulatory compliance, and specialty drug programs) and selected outpatient services (pediatric clinics under the MCWHLB licensure), to meet patient, other medical center department and provider needs.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree; licensed pharmacist in the State of California
Three to five years of administrative experience in a large multi-hospital system
Knowledge and understanding of California Pharmacy law, Department of Health Services Title 22, G.M.P., HCFA and DEA regulations and TJC standards
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent organizational skills
Hospital or pharmacy management residency
Active in professional associations and/or community service activities
Ability to utilize relevant computer programs
Experience or affiliation with a teaching institution particularly involving pediatrics
