The Chaplain (PRN) provides spiritual leadership for the medical center in the areas of pastoral care, ethics, and bereavement.
Essential Job Functions:
*Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families
*Coordinate provision of sacramental services in crisis situations
*Coordinate notification of patient/family support system in crisis situations
*Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospital employees
*Coordinate with family's home congregation to provide follow-up support
Master's degree required from an accredited institution, with significant coursework in Theology, Pastoral Care, Counseling, and/or Ethics
CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) preferred
Ordination, or in process, as appropriate to candidate's faith group
Chaplaincy Endorsement from candidates faith group
*PRN must work nights and weekends with a variable schedule*
