Cabell-Huntington Hospital, located in the West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio tristate area, is a 330 bed academic teaching institution with a strong affiliation with Marshall University Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy. The program has a strong emphasis on prospective, acute care learning experiences including but not limited to Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, and Infectious Diseases. CHH is also the site of Hoops Family Children's Hospital, which allows our pharmacy residents to gain experience with pediatric patients by working hand-in-hand with pediatric medical providers. A teaching certificate program is also available through Marshall University School of Pharmacy. At CHH, residents are integral members of the health care team with the opportunity to participate in nearly all aspects of the operational, clinical, educational, and scholarly missions of the pharmacy department and healthcare system.
Applicants must be graduates of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy and must be eligible for licensure in West Virginia. Application is via the PhORCAS system and must include a letter of intent, college transcripts, Curriculum Vitae, and three letters of reference.
