BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Coordinates specific physican relations activities.
Minimum Education: High School/GED preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: 3-5 years in hospital physician relations preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications: None
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to multi-task while presenting a positive presence to hospital department and pediatric practices staff and providers. Efficient typing skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and knowledge of hospital EMR and coinciding programs and platforms preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Evaluates system problems and their impact throughout the department. Effectively resolves problems and develops solutions for the future.
Ensures communication and completion of all issues and updates. Communicates with appropriate individuals depending on the issue.
Informs Director of system problems that have been recognized outside of the Planning & Physician Services department
Oversees updates for all ETCH physician order forms. Surgery booklets, etc. and maintains stock of printed material. Submits and maintains current ETCH forms, booklets, etc. for etch website.
Serves on the Forms Committee.
Oversees ETCH physician referral service
Quarterly evaluate and maintain list of current wait times for appointments/testing in service lines.
Coordinates the Physician Office Council Luncheons, MOB/ETCH office staff meetings, and annual holiday luncheons of physicians and wives of pediatric physicians.
Creates effective solutions and appropriate answers to various problems, questions, and issues that are generated by physicians and their staff.
Communicates information, concerns, issues, etc. using the Marketware process.
Assists with communication requests entered in the etchnet Physician Services communication system.
Works with Information Systems to solve issues with Meditech. Monitors FaxPress and Communication Director computer systems to verify autofaxing of patients' medical records
Willingly assists in hospital service line ongoing process improvement and communication.
Responds to e-mails from the community through etch.com
Assists with Doctor's Day responsibilities as needed. Completes monthly executive reports.
As needed, assist with maintaining current information in the department's Policies & Procedures.
