Duties of a Speech Language Pathologist may include the following but are not limited to:
Outpatient service delivery for infant through geriatric swallow evaluations/therapy and adult communication evaluation/therapy
Inpatient service delivery for infant through geriatric bedside swallow evaluations/therapy, speaking valve evaluation/therapy and communication evaluation/therapy for acquired impairments
Performance of weekly objective swallow studies (Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
Supervisor students and training and inservicing staff
Required Qualifications: MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology. NYS License in Speech Pathology. ASHA CCC-SLP Certification. At least 1 year of medical setting and dysphagia experience including objective swallow studies. Candidate must meet Medical Staff Office qualifications for staff privileges.
