Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) in a hospital setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Provides coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including continued hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. Collaborates with the assigned team members to support and adjust plan of care and length of stay for patient care needs. Graduate of an approved accredited school of nursing; Masters of Science in Nursing required. Minimum two years pediatric nursing experience, (or 2 years experience as FNP,) in urgent care, primary office or hospital setting preferred. Current licensure to practice professional nursing. American Heart Association BLS and PALS required.
