The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
Accountable for all aspects of development, management, and financial success of specific environment. Develops and articulates mission and vision, develops business plan, financial and budget targets, and quality measures. Responsible for contractual relationships with physicians and provider partners. Develops plan to ensure outstanding customer/patient satisfaction.
Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Directorï¿½s assigned areas. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability.
Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Initiate and implement customer focused processes to ensure continuum of care, including standards of care and consistency of practice
Initiate and foster continuous improvement and innovation within the department
Initiate innovative clinical care delivery systems according to best practices
Develop a comprehensive and cohesive business strategy for the unit which integrates with the financial and business direction of the Network
Ensure strategic allocation of resources by establishing appropriate financial balance between customer need, market forces and organizational values; ensure financial viability of unit and CHN
Analyze and incorporate current business and clinical trends
Develop and manage business contracts as appropriate
Develop and implement strategies for quality, cost-effective care
Assess the needs and expectations of all customers. Ensure customers easy access and communication and develop strategies, partnerships, and plans to maintain and continuously improve levels of customer service
Required: BSN required Preferred: Masters degree
Required: Minimum3 years experience as a Labor & Delivery RN, with a minimum of three years as a Director of Women's Services experience highly preferred
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
