Provides enhanced services in the examination, evaluation and evidence collection process involving victims of interpersonal violence. Responsible for case management of victim services. Serves as liaison to Child Protective Services, multidisciplinary agencies and law enforcement in medico-legal related trauma care.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred.
Two years of Emergency, ICU or Sexual Assault Pediatric experience.
Must complete a training program for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
Must complete Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification within 1 year of hire date.
