JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Dietitian II - Outpatient Health Center position provides high-level nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patients' nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes. Primary responsibilities include managing the daily schedule to maximize patient care, and providing evidenced-based and patient-centered nutrition care to patients. Additional responsibilities include working within departmental and multidisciplinary teams to achieve departmental, facility, or system-wide goals, assisting the clinical nutrition manager with program development activities, and training the next generation of dietetics professionals.
Position will cover one of the below assignments.
a. Gulfgate Health Center (4 days) and Pasadena Pediatric Health Center (1 day/week)
b. Aldine Health Center (4 days) and Cypress Health Center (1 day)
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Registered as a dietitian nutritionist (RDN) / dietitian (RD). Licensed as a dietitian (LD) with the state of Texas within 60 days of hire. Master's degree in a related field and Spanish language fluency preferred, but not required.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Three years or more of clinical dietitian experience. Master's degree may substitute for one year work experience. Doctorate degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
