THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Position re-posted 11/18/19 ResponsibilitiesThis position will primarily serve as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Otolaryngology, although care for the adult population one day a week may also be necessary. This position is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to standards of practice to children from birth through adolescence. This position includes care for the practitioner's own panel of patients, including providing diagnostic and post-operative care, as well as performing in-office procedures. Required Qualifications
At least 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Possession of valid California RN and Nurse Practitioner license.
DEA within 3 months of hire.
Graduation with a Master's degree, DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
National NP Certification.
Current BLS and CPR.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.
Commitment to excellence in patient care.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
Adapts to change in a positive, professional and productive manner.
Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.
Knowledge of performance improvement and evidence-based practice.

Ability to work overtime, float to other areas and work weekends and holidays.
Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. and assist in moving patients, and stand on feet over extended periods.
