The Department of Nursing invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Child Health Nursing. Rank and salary are negotiable and dependent on qualifications and experience. Teaching and clinical experience in child health nursing and a focused program of research/scholarship are desirable. Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field and be eligible for RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We seek candidates who are dedicated to teaching a diverse student population and are interested in integrating research, policy and practice in the context of promoting health equity. The College of Nursing and Health Sciences and its Office of Research offer strong internal and external mentoring programs for faculty including assistance with grant proposal and manuscript preparation. Our faculty have interest and research expertise in health promotion across the life course, prevention and management of communicable and non-communicable disease, social and behavioral determinants of health, population health, and health policy. The College offers a wide range of multidisciplinary collaborative research opportunities including with the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences, as well as major academic, medical and community –based institutions including Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, UMass Medical Center, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Boston Public Schools, and other community, public and private healthcare agencies. A National Cancer Institute- funded collaborative grant with Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center has strengthened and enabled partnerships, pre- and post-doctoral training, research and community outreach initiatives.
