In collaboration with the Chair of the Child & Adolescent Division at the Semel Institute/Department of Psychiatry, you will provide strategic business and clinical leadership for the division. You will administratively manage clinical operations, finance budgets, personnel and resources to ensure that Division goals are met in a timely and effective manner. This role involves handling the day-to-day administration and operation of the division’s clinical, education, and research programs. You will also supervise divisional staff and act as a liaison to other divisions.
We’re seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual with:
Skill in managing and administering business activities in a highly complex environment with a commitment to clinical, teaching, and research excellence
Ability to create and develop new programs/services
Strong financial skills and knowledge of accounting principles and practices
PC Proficiency with MS Office
Ability to learn and use UCLA business software
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to foster positive working relationships with faculty, staff, parents, vendors and campus departments
Extensive background with University policies and procedures
Proven experience in managing complex clinical operations
Knowledge of psychiatric and medical terminology
Ability to establish rapport with and handle distressed, confused and/or hostile patients/visitors
