The Infection Preventionist will be responsible for:
Providing ongoing surveillance of healthcare associated infections throughout the hospital.
Identifying and investigating increases and/or changes in incidence, pattern or type of infections and developing and recommending prevention and control strategies.
Providing consultation and education to all levels of staff on infection prevention and control policies, procedures and practices and communicates and exchanges information with public health agencies.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medical Technology or a closely related field required. Master's degree a plus.
Two to three years of previous experience preferred.
Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) preferred.
Pediatrics experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office products.
