The Practice Manager II facilitates teamwork and department pride by advocating for an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements processes to ensure customer satisfaction. The Practice Manager II has the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of clerical and clinical staff. Areas of responsibility will include personnel management, staff development and positive customer relations. Demonstrates sound judgment and appropriate decision making abilities. Thoroughly understands and monitors financial performance of the unit/department.
Five years experience as a medical office manager in a multi-provider office.
Two years of college or equivalent experience.
Must possess a basic understanding of general accounting principles.
A solid understanding of coding and third party requirements is required.
Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public, physician or administration. Among the items to consider for differentiation of Practice Manager I and Practice Manager II: Multi-provider.
Multiple practice locations. High office visit volume (generally greater than 3000 office visits per quarter).
Direct supervision of many staff (generally more than 6 full time employees)
Maintain BLS as defined in area of practice.
