The dental receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, families and visitors and establishing a friendly, positive encounter for each patient's visit. The dental receptionist is responsible for performing office functions including but not limited to answering phones, scheduling, registration, data entry and billing for patients in the clinic setting. This job requires a high level of flexibility, multi-tasking and excellent communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to changes as they occur in both staffing levels as well as patient volumes.
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 year experience in a dental office.
Understanding of diversified insurance plans (Medicaid and CHIPS) as well as Managed Care plans.
Knowledge of dental codes and dental terminology.
Experience with pediatrics (preferred but not required).
Bilingual (preferred but not required). Basic computer skills (Microsoft office).
