1.Helps order supplies for department accurately; takes weekly inventory to assure adequate supply of Imaging supplies. Notifies manager of need for supplies not authorized to order.
2.Performs date inspection of inventory to assure stock items are within expected shelf life. Recommends restocking when appropriate.
3.Informs manager of need for additional supplies.
4.Accurately and promptly retrieves film from warehouse.
5.Assists department and physician office personnel in locating and obtaining images and reports.
6.Retrieves and delivers CDï¿½s from hospital and physician office.
7.Demonstrates Universal Precautions and follows Isolation procedures.
8.Transport patients from ED and their room safely and in a timely fashion.
9.Transport or/and deliver patients to proper modality. Re: MRI,NM,CT,US
10.Displays basic knowledge of Ticket To Ride system. Completely and accurately fills out Ticket to Ride prior to transport.
11.Accurately identifies patients wristband and utilizes 3 proper ID identifiers
12.Displays basic knowledge of hospital bed/gurney operations..
13.Follows hospital protocols for transporting and patient safety.
14.Assists technologists with transporting and positioning non-ambulatory patients for exams.
15.The staff is polite,smiles and displays kindness and compassion.
16.Demonstrates respect of Patient Rights.
17.Displays proper body mechanics when lifting or transferring patients or objects from one location to another
A.Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current American Heart Association BLS card required.
B.Minimum Experience: Previous transport experience preferred.
C. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Knowledge or experience in a Radiology Department and/or Hospital .
