The Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This position is intended for a pediatric neuropsychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus, and who will work primarily with patients being seen by faculty in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
Duties include: 1) conducting screenings and evidence-based diagnostic outpatient evaluations of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders; 2) teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs; 3) engagement in research or other scholarly activities.
Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. At least one of training programs must have been APA-approved. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology. Experience in a pediatric medical setting with children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders is needed.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
