The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Administrative Aide to join our team in a full time administrative support position. Columbia University Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. We offer care for our patients in over 25 specialty areas as well as individualized care for complex cases. Our Residency, Fellowship and Graduate programs are among the best in the Nation. Our Clinical, Translational and Basic Science research features collaborations across specialties and stretches from the bench to bedside. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients. This position will support the department by providing administrative support to our Allergy/Immunology & Rheumatology Division Clinical Practice.
Serve as administrative support to the AIR Clinical staff
Create Faculty and Fellow On Call schedule across all 7 locations: PH17, W. 51st street, E. 72nd street, Riverdale, Staten Island, White Plains and CHN 7
Troubleshoot, submit and follow up on all IT related issues for all Peds AIR Offices
Answer and triage calls
Manage pre-certification of patient visits, tests and procedures, including the Allergy serum injections
Provide Daily back up for Practice Office Staff
Troubleshoot any Clinical System issues i.e., IDX, Crown, NYPH Hospital systems
Overseeing inventory and maintaining purchasing to ensure adequate supplies
Process Divisional invoices, travel/business reimbursements, purchase requisitions/orders
Serve as pcard reconciler as needed
Other related duties as needed
Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and business experience, plus a minimum of two to three years related experience
