Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
MD or PhD (or foreign equivalent) in a related field. Experience with MRI studies. Hands on experience on Siemens scanners.
MD or PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Radiology. Ability to write reports and papers for publication. Experience in statistics. Experience in public health research.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator in the Department of Radiology. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University. The successful incumbent will have excellent communications skills to interact with Clinicians, Scientist and administrators.
Plan and execute a wide variety of radiology research protocols in imaging research using Radiology PACS and EMR database.
Develop new MRI approaches for MRI data acquisition and/or data analysis.
Collect and evaluate data and will assist in manuscript preparation for submission in scientific journals and/or presentations. May also assist in grant writing.
Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies as needed.
Other duties as assigned, which may include attending Scientific Conferences and Meetings.
