The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor assists the Pharmacy Operations Manager and/or Pharmacy Director in the management and supervision of all operational activities related to technician staff to develop a strong sterile compounding team. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, in coordination with department leadership, will coordinate all sterile compounding activities related to technician activities that maintain and improve workflow, safety and efficiency to ensure quality distributive processes and services. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor participates in pharmacy leadership, technician education, compounding regulation compliance and process improvement committees to implement and improve technician processes and services.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Five years' experience as a pharmacy technician in an acute care hospital setting is required, pediatric setting is preferred
ACPE IV Certification
PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification is required
Texas State Board Technician Registration is required
Knowledge of math, the metric system, chemistry and medical terminology is essential
