The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow Transplantation, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Service Line Medical Director as an Associate Professor or Professor in Clinical Pediatrics.
The positionâs primary activities will include Medical Director for the Inpatient and/or Outpatient Service. As the Medical Director of the Inpatient and/or Outpatient Service, duties will include medical leadership and oversight and working with CHLA and Division leadership to organize and direct service line clinical care. The remainder of the time will be dedicated to clinical care, research and education.
The Childrenâs Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving one of our nationâs most diverse patient populations.Â It hosts an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CCCBD has been continuously ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs every year since the rankings were launched in 2008. Our large Clinical Trials Operation supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology and BMT and offers unsurpassed unique research opportunities through several pediatric clinical trial consortia headquartered at the Center including the TACL Consortium, and the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC).
