The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology_, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics â Clinician Educator.
The Fetal and Neonatal Institute and the Division of Neonatology of the Department of Pediatrics at Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and USC are seeking candidates for three full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor Level on the clinical or clinical-educator tracks. These positions are clinically focused and in addition to contributing to pediatric resident and neonatal-perinatal fellow education, the candidates will provide clinical service in the 58-bed, level IV state-of-the-art Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit at Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles and in one of our four community- based NICUs.
The Fetal and Neonatal Institute consists of the CHLA Division of Neonatal Medicine and the CHLA-USC Fetal-Maternal Center. The Division has currently 28 faculty. Fellows from the LAC+USC Neonatal-Perinatal program rotate in the CHLA NICU. The CHLA-USC Fetal-Maternal Center is one of the largest fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention centers in the nation.
Must hold MD or DO degree
Board certified in Pediatrics
Board certified/eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Clinical experience in clinical neonatology
Strength in teaching
Experience in patient-oriented, educational, QI/PI or outcome research
Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a complex, high-intensity academic environment
