The Division of Genomic Medicine in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) are actively seeking a pediatric clinical geneticist for a full-time faculty appointment with clinical service, research (clinical and translational), and teaching responsibilities. The faculty member will join an established team of laboratory directors, bioinformaticians and genetic counselors in the Center for Personalized Medicine (CPM) to provide support for clinical test utilization and interpretation as well as development of new molecular platforms for constitutional disorders and oncology. The faculty member will have a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, and outpatient clinical genetics responsibilities to include support of the Divisions of Hematology-Oncology and Neurology. Excellent opportunities for collaborative research exist in multi-disciplinary research and clinical teams working in the fields of clinical and cancer genomics at CHLA and KSOM.
Applicants must have an MD, DO or MD/PhD degree, be eligible for an unrestricted CA Medical License, be board certified in Clinical Genetics by the ABMGG, and have a track record in clinical service, teaching and research. Â Expertise to interpret genetic laboratory analyses relevant to the diagnosis and management of human genetic diseases is required.
