The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an individual with clinical and research interests in childhood cancer or benign hematology for a fixed term, Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient care, participation in clinical trials and the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students in a children's hospital and comprehensive cancer center setting. Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required. Additional Training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant preferred but not required.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an exceptionally collaborative environment with a strong clinical program in both hematology and oncology. In addition there are strong basic and translational research programs. The Division currently includes 14 physicians and 8 nurse practitioners. Divisional interests include solid tumors, neuro-oncology, childhood cancer survivorship, stem cell transplantation, T- Cell, sickle cell anemia and thrombosis and hemostasis.
Education and Experience:
Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required. Additional Training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant preferred but not required.
