Under the direction of the Chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Service and Lead Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, this position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of research studies, overseeing protocol development, and developing institutional informed consent documents for all COG and PBTC protocols.
This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of submitting protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Western Institutional Review Board (WIRB) for their review. Responsible for various aspects of clinical trials research such as data collection analysis, monitoring protection of subjects and subject's rights through IRB regulations, preparation of adverse event experience reports, construction and monitoring of case report forms and report preparation. In addition, they will be responsible for managing a system for planning and workflow related to the clinical research activities and the IRB and HRC committees.
A Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or health related area and one year experience in a clinical research environment is required. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville.
