â‹Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in â‹pediatric pulmonology.
The University of Minnesota seeks candidates with a background of experience in pediatric pulmonary medicine and some involvement in academic pursuits as noted above. This position will include evaluating both inpatients and outpatients. Faculty will participate in all facets of post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate’s area of specialty/research expertise. Academic faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty.â‹
M.D or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified â‹in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligibleâ‹ in Pediatric Pulmonologyâ‹. â‹
Must have demonstrated some involvement academic pursuits, either through publications anticipated, submitted or published in peer-review journals.â‹
Candidates should have the necessary skills to care for children of all ages with pulmonary issues and should be adept in flexible bronchoscopy in pediatrics.
