The Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement Specialist serves as a lead revenue cycle representative to build and develop strong interpersonal relationships with key Hospital and Practice stakeholders across the enterprise. Find and quantify revenue cycle opportunities for improvement by translating raw data analysis into actionable projects that mitigate waste, decrease bad debt, increase cash collections, and reduce errors/defects. Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive and sustain process improvements across the revenue cycle.
This position provides direct support to the Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement Manager in the Delaware Valley, for projects relating to Hospital, Practice and Enterprise-wide initiatives. This position is tasked with improving how issues are communicated with leadership, and how accounts receivables are analyzed, with a particular focus on automating manual work when possible. In addition, the Revenue Cycle Performance Specialist will provide enterprise-wide support to Revenue Cycle communities, leading enterprise-level meetings, and work with a wide range of departments in order to resolve problems.
Essential job functions:
Identify and translate emerging technologies and ways of managing accounts receivables into process improvements, and then work with the Health Care Data Analytics team to develop tools and processes, with a focus on moving toward proactive management of accounts receivables rather than reactive management; initiate, lead and facilitate revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives and projects using continuous improvement methodologies.
Lead and grow the enterprise revenue cycle community to ensure Nemours’ associates have access to timely, accurate, and actionable data. As part of leading this community, teach Nemours’ associates about the revenue cycle and help drive a continuous improvement mentality.
Provide analytic capabilities and support to determine, rationalize and prioritize revenue cycle improvement projects, ensuring that all analyses are accurate, timely, and actionable.
Use reporting tools to analyze outstanding accounts receivables, and identify areas of opportunity throughout the revenue cycle. When issues are identified, research the issue and work with others to develop actionable insights. In addition, develop ways to effectively monitor and communicate what those issues are to key stakeholders.
Maintain a high-level understanding of Epic PB and/or HB Resolute and have a strong understanding of analytical tools used at Nemours including Qlik, Epic reporting, and Excel.
Coordinate resources from across the enterprise to focus on and provide project management support to revenue cycle improvement projects and initiatives.
Actively participate in revenue cycle process improvements as well as in meetings with payors, Managed Care, the Central Business Office, and operational leadership to ensure issues are communicated and resolved.
As necessary, perform other tasks related to special projects.

Have 5 or more years of experience.
Bachelor's degree, and/or equivalent work experience
High level of proficiency with data analysis, strong excel skills, and experience using business intelligence tools (i.e. Qlik Sense, Crystal Reports, EPIC reporting, etc.); proficient in EPIC Resolute PB and/or HB to verify specific samplings of data on adhoc reports.
