This Nurse Manager will be responsible for:
Serving as a high visibility leader, role model and professional mentor for a growing Advanced Practice Team within Neuroscience.
Demonstrating strong leadership, team building, decision making, vision, partnerships across the department and organization.
Partnering with key nursing, patient care, physician and administrative leaders in support of strategic/capital planning requirements and clinical program development.
Offering recommendations to optimize clinical care and drive growth and expansion.
Holding oneself, and others, accountable for the achievement of key goals and desired outcomes including: patient, staff, and provider satisfaction; quality and safety outcomes, financial performance and achievement of growth targets, regulatory readiness, and the health of the work environment.
Providing expertise on Advanced Practice regulations and overseeing the credentialing and privileging to assure full regulatory compliance.
Enhancing and advancing the role of the Advanced Practice Nurse
Giving direction and support to APP in regards to practice and professional development as a coach and mentor.
Identify opportunities and promote APP 'top of license' practice while also supporting the APPs' engagement in research.
Billing practices and compliance.
Offering support to department and larger organization in establishing practice protocols.
Modeling, encouraging and maintaining interprofessional collaboration across departments and roles.
The availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, including 2 clinical sessions per week within the Department of Neurology.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner (Doctoral degree preferred)
8 years of Advanced Practice Nurse experience
Previous leadership experience with a proven history of developing individuals as well as teams
MA licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse
ANCC nurse executive or nurse executive-advanced certification is preferred
Knowledge of pediatric neurology is preferred
