Cook Children's Health Care System is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow I. As our Post-Doctoral Research Fellow I, you will be responsible for the acquisition, rigorous analysis, and presentation of clinical and research data through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. You will:
conduct data analysis
prepares scientific manuscripts and grants
In addition to advanced analytic skills, you should also be proficient at programming specialized software tools for the analysis of large data sets of clinical and research data.
This training position is for three-years with a possibility of advancement to Postdoctoral Research Fellow II depending on productivity and funding availability.
Doctorate degree in a related field of the performed research and experience with data collection, data processing, programming, and statistical methods
Demonstrated expertise in the collection and analysis of complex clinical and research data
Demonstrated expertise in identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
Demonstrated expertise of programming languages
Demonstrated scientific productivity
Good knowledge of the statistical theories
Previous experience with statistical or methodological support of clinical dat
Excellent writing and editing skills
Familiarity with basic principles of databases
Demonstrable ability to quickly understand new concepts and to develop original solutions to mathematical issues;
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of principles of research and federal regulations
Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal and oral, written and electronic interpersonal communication skills
