The Ambulatory Systems Manager (ASM) provides overall leadership and support for all computer systems and technology deployed in the physician practices, as well as access and integration with the Hospital Information Systems. The ASM oversees the ambulatory technology core teams and Information Technology Staff assigned to implement and support the practices and assists the practices in proper and full utilization of their applications. The ASM will ensure proper testing during upgrades and oversees training for all practice personnel. The ASM will oversee hardware deployment and network connectivity in the practices and assist in developing and maintaining proper security measures as outlined by HIPAA and other regulatory bodies. Oversees, develops process improvement initiatives, and monitors the administrative flow of events inclusive to those activities related to the ambulatory systems. Collaborates with the ambulatory teams. Provides leadership and direction, coaching, and counseling to all members of the ambulatory teams. Maintains a close working relationship with the providers and staff. Attends all regularly scheduled provider and practice staff meetings as well as regularly scheduled visits at each of the practice locations.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, Informatics or equivalent required. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
3-4 years experience as a systems analyst required.
Management experience preferred.
Experience in Informatics also preferred.
