Acts as an Assistant Controller for a small-to-medium sized company in the System. Responsible for all aspects of General Ledger, Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting. Collaborates closely with the Business Unit leadership and operational finance. Assists with Intercompany Eliminations, and other tasks for Consolidation and External Financial Reporting. Performs complex bank reconciliation(s) for the larger companies, and special projects as needed. This position will provide Directors, Department leadership, and other staff with financial information and interpretations as needed. The evaluation of this person comes directly from either the Accounting Manager or the System Finance Director and may be influenced by the Senior Accountants or the Senior Vice President, Finance as deemed appropriate.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
2 to 3 years accounting experience required, preferably in Public accounting or in a healthcare setting.
Fixed Asset and/or Work In Process accounting experience preferred.
Advanced computer spreadsheet proficiency including graphing and complex formulas often linking multiple worksheets (very high level of usage), general software literacy, trending, and "what if" skills required.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good presentation skills.
Must work closely with the Senior Accountants and other department leadership within the System.
CPA candidate preferred.
