The Director of Clinical Pharmacy Program has the accountability, and responsibility for the pharmacy related services and medication management programs for members and prescribers. The Pharmacy Program Director interfaces with physicians, other health care providers, contracted pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) vendor staff and CCHP leadership to develop, implement and monitor appropriate pharmacy benefit utilization, practices and services that are compliant with CCHP's contracts and best practice. Through effective leadership, motivation, and coaching, the manager assures attainment of department key service and performance indicators.
Graduate of an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy.
PharmD degree preferred or R.Ph., Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred.
Minimum eight years of equivalent experience.
Advanced clinical skills as evidenced by practice experience or specialty residency.
Pediatric pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Track record of leadership skills and programmatic development.
Advanced training and/or experience in strategic and/or financial management preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Analytical thought processes and strong organizational, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
Proven ability to commit to and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Team and collaboration oriented, performance driven.
Excellent communication and project skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Access)
Registered pharmacist with Texas license
