Responsible for report development including planning, design, validation, implementation, and support. Presents any and all relevant data in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsible for performing analytical and technical tasks including analysis, testing, documentation, problem resolution, and implementation of solutions as they apply to Financial Planning and users of our systems and reports. The position requires a solid background in report development and data analyses.
Responsible for mentoring and teaching end users about report writing, data extraction, budgeting, and ad hoc report manipulation and analysis. Serves as a liaison between end-users, Financial Planning, and IT. Also serves as a super user of the software packages used by Financial Planning.
Reports to the Lead Financial Planning Systems Analyst. Works in close cooperation with other staff members, directors, senior leadership and executives.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates the ability to multitask and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrates advanced analytical and microcomputer skills with a strong understanding of relational database concepts and query tools in order to import/export/manipulate data from numerous sources systems and merge/compare data for analysis.
Demonstrates ability to quickly learn and dissect current processes in order to provide maintenance and development of those already established items.
Demonstrates the ability to be a highly motivated, self-starter with the capability to use problem-solving techniques to achieve desired results and effect change.
Demonstrates a strong background in report development and data analysis.
Demonstrates very strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
Knowledge and experience with Crystal Reports preferred.
Experience with Microsoft VBA is advantageous.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Should be comfortable presenting in front of a group of 20 to 30 individuals from various backgrounds.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact in a team environment and with all levels of staff/management within and beyond the organization.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science, Business, Mathematics, or other relevant analytical/data field required. Minimum six years related professional work experience. Minimum five years of information reporting and/or data analysis experience required.
Associate's degree in Computer or Information Science, Business, Mathematics, or other relevant analytical/data field required. Minimum nine years related professional work experience. Minimum eight years of information reporting and/or data analysis experience required.
