This leader will help guide an elite group of nurses that work in Southdale’s 18 bed Level III NICU where we provide care for neonates 30 weeks gestation and above, our 15 bed L&D unit and our 30 bed postpartum/newborn unit.
The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is responsible for assisting the Manager and Director with the daily operations in the Birthplace at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
Supervising the staff, including but not limited to hiring, discipline and performance evaluations.
Responsibility for projects as delegated including a focus on meeting the needs of our customers, collaboration with nursing and physician leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice, and utilization of process improvement methodologies to assure safe and quality patient care.
Assisting with staff education as needed.
Being a role model for patient care and customer service, working closely with our physician partners.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field, If bachelor’s is not in nursing then must have a master’s degree in nursing
Minnesota RN license
3 years clinical or nursing leadership experience in labor & delivery, post partum or NICU.
