The Nurse Manager is responsible for Large Clinical Departments (>900 annual patient visits) with multiple programs in the clinic. The Nurse Manager has the ability to articulate a compelling, actionable vision for the unit/department. He or she facilitates teamwork and unit pride by advocating for an environment that promotes quality patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure patient and physician satisfaction. The Nurse Manager has the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of patient care within his/her respective areas. Areas of responsibility will include nursing practice, physician relations, personnel management, staff development, positive customer relations and department finances. This position will demonstrate sound clinical judgment and decision making skills within the clinic of oversight.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current BSN and license to practice nursing in the state of Texas is required
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a pediatric setting is required
Current BLS and PALS required
