FT Days, 40 hours per week
You Will Be Responsible For:
Â·Instructs and prepares patients for x-ray and/or other examinations.
Â·Performs routine and special radiographic examinations and is cross-trained in a least one other modality.
Â·Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
Â·Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
Â·Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure- makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Â·Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Â·Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
Â·Assists in maintaining basic records, files, and reports.
Â·Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.
Â·Takes call as assigned.
Â·Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.
Â·All other duties as assigned by management
What You Will Need:
Registered in ARRT or specific modality required.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Graduate of an accredited 2-year Allied Health program required.
Deemed competent to perform in two modalities in Diagnostic Imaging required.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required.
Additional languages preferred.
Responsible for performing radiology exams and documenting proper charges in two modalities.
