Responsible for operations of an assigned group of staff or shift. Manages, coordinates, and evaluates key activities within the department. Ensures quality standards are met. Administrative duties such payroll, initiating P.I.C. counseling and evaluating staff.
Interviews applicants and makes hiring recommendations
Schedules staff to ensure work requirements are accomplished
Tracks benefit hours and attendance/tardiness issues
Evaluates staff at 90 day and annual basis, evaluates competencies
Reviews time and attendance records, addresses attendance, tardiness issues
Arranges days off/vacation/holiday schedules
Works as a team member within ES leadership team
Writes and maintains accurate area assignment schedules
Makes frequent rounds in assigned area, corrects deficiencies
Resolves problems directly in consultation with the manager as they relate to productivity and customer related issues
Schedules and ensure completion of periodic project tasks
Submits required reports prior to deadline
Conducts required number of quality inspections and enters data in to PC
Provides appropriate feedback to staff regarding inspection scores
Identifies issues and takes corrective action for resolution
Initiates corrective measures to correct substandard cleanliness problems
Initiates contact with key leaders to ensure service satisfaction
Resolves key leader concerns with departmental service
Knows key leaders by name in assigned area
Participates fully on selected committees and task force
Orders/stocks chemicals and supplies
Maintains appropriate inventory level in assigned work closets
Ensures minimal waste of products through review and reeducation of staff
Prepares work order requests for repairs needed in various buildings
Three years of cleaning experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Vanderbilt Behavioral Health, through its inpatient facility Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, is the only inpatient provider of mental health services for children in Middle Tennessee. We offer highly specialized services for children ages 4-12 who have emotional or behavioral challenges and need immediate assistance. Each child's care is supervised by a board-certified child psychiatrist.
Our adult programs care for patients 18 and older. We offer personalized treatment programs tailored to specific needs such as Psychotic Disorder Program, Mood Disorders Program, Addictions Programs, and the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program.
Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital is an 106 bed hospital for children, adolescents, and adult patients.
