Cook Children’s Health Care System has a new opportunity for a Sports Medicine Physician in Prosper, Texas. This is an opportunity to launch a busy sports medicine practice to care for children and adolescents. Cook Children’s is committed to securing a specialist whose professional, social, and economic interests would lend themselves to a long-term, cultural fit within the institution, the medical staff, and the community. The successful candidate must be board certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine and board certified/board eligible in Sports Medicine. Must obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical license before commencement of employment.
Candidate will provide care for injuries to include pains, sprains, dislocations, concussions and fractures. Care and treatment in the office would include x-ray interpretation, casting, splinting and bracing.
Cook Children’s Prosper Campus will be a state-of-the-art medical facility including multispecialty outpatient clinics, urgent care, and free-standing children’s hospital. When open in 2022, the children’s hospital will include emergency services, medical/surgical unit, and operating rooms. The Prosper campus, also referred to as the north campus, is surrounded by Cook Children’s primary care practices and it is anticipated the number of primary care providers will double in the north campus area by 2022. The Prosper campus will also have several specialties to include GI, neurology, nephrology, urology, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary, ENT, H/O, surgery and sleep medicine.
