The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Arizona-Tucson and Banner University Medical Group (BUMG) is actively seeking an Optometrist with training and/or experience in contact lens to join our growing Department.
The selected individual will be responsible for comprehensive eye care, including routine and specialty contact lens fitting. Clinical services are provided at the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson, with an average patient load of 10 patients per half day and 8-9 half-daily clinical sessions. Our Ophthalmology residency program has 4 residents per year and an enthusiastic commitment to teaching is desired. The preferred candidate will also possess an interest in research. The position will have an academic faculty appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson - College of Medicine at a rank commensurate with the candidate’s credentials.
Specialty Contact Lens training or experience
Residency-trained in contact lenses preferred
