Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for overseeing and managing instrument related projects within Central Sterile Processing Department. Manages the day to day operations of service-specific Instrument Coordinators. Assists in implementing strategic plan and processes for sterile processing services within the organizational structure. Plans, directs and coordinates activities involved in the instrument life cycle including repair and replacement.
Oversee instrument related projects including but not limited to instrument standardization/ consolidation, product trials, specialty instrument processing, and count sheet improvements. o Liaise with OR leadership on above
Manage day to day work of instrument coordinators
Monitor instrument repair replacement program
Monitor and develop reports on instrument usage, breakage and spend
Manage instrument related contracts
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities: Manage initiatives aimed at reducing missing instruments Partner with vendors on instrument related projects and programs Partner with OR leadership and external vendors on improving quality, efficiency and financial bottom line of the department Initiate and manage process improvement projects in the department Assists Director in budget preparation Provides front line leadership coverage and support as needed Performs other departmental responsibilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Healthcare related field or a combination of similar education and experience. Certified Registered Central Service Technician by IAHCSMM or equivalent certification. 3- 5 years of progressive leadership experience. Must hold comprehensive knowledge in inventory control, supply distribution, receiving, reprocessing techniques and principles, production management and regulating agencies standards. Must hold comprehensive knowledge and experience in surgical instrumentation and regulatory standards..
Required Licenses: Sterile Process & Distr - Cert
Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of CSPD experience. CIS certification. CHL certification. Prior experience in Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering. Proficient in MS Office. Experience with inventory control and supplies. Experience with instrument tracking system. Experience with data analysis and presentation skills
