Supervisor Registration, ED Registration (VUH)
Your Role:
- Assists with measuring and reporting ongoing financial and operational performance.
- Leads all assigned area functions per departmental guidelines and assists staff with issue resolution. Backfills staff assignments during high volume periods.
- Oversees staff performance to achieve productivity and quality goals. Ensures that all cases are updated timely, and entered thoroughly into the admissions, discharge, transfer and billing system.
- Ensures proper collection of patient liabilities during registration and discharge process.
- Assist with data quality audits.

Department/Unit Summary :
Patient Financial Services consists of approximately 250+ staff located in Nashville and approximately 150 supplemental staff who provide support in five primary service areas, all of which are critical to the success of the Revenue Cycle. The five primary service areas include:
- Central Registration and Insurance Management
- Financial Clearance
- Pre-Service Collections, Financial Counseling, and Outpatient Referral Assistance
- Patient Liability and Customer Service
- VUH/VCH Admitting and VUH/VCH ED Registration/Discharge
