We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus to RNs with 2+ years of Lactation Consultant experience!

 

JOB SUMMARY

The RN Lactation Consultant utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of needs related to breastfeeding and developmental care. The RN Lactation Consultant develops a breastfeeding program to include parent and staff education, updating of protocols, consultation and follow-up. The RN Lactation Consultant prepares an individualized plan of care to assist mothers with breastfeeding providing one-on-one beside consultation and in-hospital follow-up. The RN Lactation Consultant communicates with families and assists them in allaying apprehensions.

The ideal candidate for the RN Lactation Consultant role will be able to evaluate the effects of breastfeeding program and redesign as needed and also, participate in data collection and neonatal outcomes reporting related to breastfeeding.
 
Location/Facility: Baylor University Medical Center Dallas

Specialty/Department/Practice: Simply Moms - New Family Center

Shift/Schedule: 36 hours/week Full Time Days 7am - 7pm

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Associate's degree required; Bachelor of Science degree preferred

- MAJOR - Nursing

- EXPERIENCE - 2+ years of RN experience in NICU preferred; Lactation Consultant experience preferred

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       International Board Certified Lactation Consult (IBCLC) required

       Registered Nurse (RN) license required
