Description Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN JOB SUMMARY : Supports the Registered Nurse or licensed physician/dentist in the provision of patient care, to include delivery of patient care, collection of ongoing patient response to care, discharge planning and patient family education. The LPN works in close collaboration with the RN or a licensed physician/dentist as well as the overall Health Care Team to evaluate the patient's plan of care and progress toward goal attainment. All patient care activities are undertaken with the delegation/supervision of a licensed professional. Minimum hours worked to be 36 hours per quarter (2- six weeks scheduling periods) with one of the 12 hour shifts available on the weekend. Clinic staff and areas with 8 hour shifts will work a minimum of four 8 hour shifts per quarter with one of the 8 hour shifts available on a Monday or a Friday. Holiday requirements of 1 per year OR 1 difficult to staff day. UNIT SUMMARY: Corporate Health and Wellness at Vanderbilt currently reports for clinical operations to Internal Medicine and is an integral part of Employer Solutions. The program has been operational for over 15 years and emphasizes evidence- based preventative health evaluations and early detection of disease through point of care testing. This program offers on site employer Health Screenings (basic, comprehensive, and customizable), as well as flu shots. The Wellness team also coordinates educational opportunities and partners with several Nashville based companies in their journey toward achieving a healthier employee. Currently this clinic is located on the 9th floor of the Crystal Terrace building. The leadership team for this clinic is comprised of a Medical Director, Director, Senior Program Manager and Program Manager. Clinical staff members include PRN registered nurses as well as patient care partners. SHIFT: PRN (36 hours per quarter)
