Work Hours/Shift: - Full Time Monday-Friday 5:30am- 2:30pm
You Will Be Responsible For: - Plant, mow, edge, mulch, clean up daily trash/debris, trim prune, blow, water and spray in accordance with campus schedules and departmental standards.
- Treat nuisance weeds and undesirable vegetation in landscape bedding whether by chemical or physical means. Follow detailed department expectations of how and when to treat.
- Help lead small teams on landscape projects
- Help identify and communicate deficiencies with regards to landscape plantings that are not meeting expectations or departmental standards.
- Using AdventHealth vehicle, transport equipment and personnel to various AdventHealth properties.
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - Minimum 5 years general landscaping maintenance experience
- Must have a class âœEâ Florida Drivers License and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth policy.
- Certification in Best Management Practices (Preferred)
- Landscape maintenance experience at a healthcare facility (Preferred)
- Self-motivated with good communication and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscape plants used in Florida.
- Skilled in the use of common landscape equipment such as weedeaters, mowers, trimmers, edgers, chain saws.
- Working knowledge of irrigation equipment and controllers
- Ability to follow directions while working alone or leading a small team on a task.
Job Summary: Performs a wide range of routine landscaping maintenance tasks using hand or power tools or equipment. Duties include a combination of both landscape maintenance as well as small landscape projects. Duties will include such tasks as the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, spraying, edging, pruning and sprinkler installation. Must be able to work odd hours to complete work.
